Neck pain
Do you suffer from persistent neck pain?
A neck problem can occur for many reasons.
"THE GOAL OF THE OSTEOPATHIC APPROACH IS TO INCREASE MOBILITY
- First of all, the origin can be traumatic as in a car accident, a fall on the head or a sudden movement. There may be numbness in the hands, headaches, vision and ear problems.
- Sometimes there can be temperature differences in the hands but the origin of this is the nerves and blood vessels in the arms. In case of major trauma, it is strongly suggested to check with your doctor to eliminate any risk of cervical fracture before consulting an osteopath.
- The therapist will then identify the most important blockage and release it, regardless of its origin: vertebrae lacking mobility, an organ (the heart and lungs are organs attached to the thorax by ligaments) or the nervous system connected to the neck and thorax. With gentle techniques, the therapist will gain the necessary mobility to relieve these pains of traumatic origin.
- In addition, neck pain can occur as a result of degeneration of the cervical spine commonly known asosteoarthritis. The goal of the osteopathic approach is to increase the mobility of the thorax, which is caused by poor posture. With the increase in office work, we find people with the posture of “too short a tie.” With breathing and mobilization techniques the therapist is able to relieve these neck pains. In addition, it will treat muscles that have been shortened by this adaptation.
If you are suffering from persistent neck pain, one of our therapists can provide long-term pain relief.
