Sylvain L. Trudel received his training in Chinese Medicine in Montreal, then in Quebec City with the College of Chinese and Cultural Medicine. He graduated in 1987 and has been an acupuncturist for over 22 years.
Professional background :
After working in Quebec City and Baie-Comeau, he moved to the West Island of Montreal in 1998.
Her specialization is oriented towards an additional training on the evaluation of back, neck or any other joint pain, hormonal disorders (premenstrual syndrome, menopause, cycle-related problems), insomnia, etc.
In addition, he has been trained in cranio-sacral therapy since 2004. He is able to use the soft laser on children and people who fear the pain of needles.

Chinese medicine includes acupuncture, Chinese herbology, manual manipulation, Qi Qong and Tai Qi.
Acupuncture is based on a system of meridians. These are the segments of a great line which are used to circulate energy and each one carries the name of the organ where it passes to irrigate and nourish it.
In 1985, the University of Paris scientifically recognized the existence of meridians, thus demonstrating the credibility of acupuncture to the most skeptical. To do this, the researchers inserted radioactive cobalt into an acupuncture point and followed its path. They were able to compare and prove that the circuitry drawn by cobalt in the blood (veins/arteries), nerve and lymphatic circuits was similar in every way to those of the meridians identified on the body by Chinese acupuncturists. In addition, the electrical potential of the acupuncture points located on these meridians was found to be different from those located in other areas of the body that are not acupuncture points.
The examination performed by the acupuncturist is designed to evaluate the energetic quality of each organ. It helps to determine the state of emptiness or fullness of the organs (i.e. the emptiness of the Kidney energy or the fullness of the Liver energy). The acupuncturist can then access the points associated with emptiness or fullness and restore balance in the affected organ(s). He will use needles or a soft laser on acupuncture points to rebalance the energy of the organs and thus restore health.
